For an Empowering Rosh Hashanah
I know we have only a few days till the holiday, so I’ll be brief.
On Rosh Hashanah this year, there are so many things to pray for. It’s been a really hard year, and perhaps you, like me, could easily make a list.
One thing we don’t always include in our prayers is for ourselves to be the best we can be in the midst of it all. But, it might make a difference if we do. Because the more we fulfill our soul’s purpose, the more we do what we’re here to do in this life, the better things are in the world.
With humility, we can ask Hashem: “May I grow into all my gifts.”
To support you in this kind of prayer, I’ve created a little graphic you can print and fill in with the gifts you most want to grow into this coming year.
You can print this and put it in your prayerbook for the holiday. Or put it in your journal. Or hang it on your mirror. Put it where you’ll remember to ask for your gifts and be guided to grow into them.
May this Rosh Hashanah launch all of us into a year of blessing, fulfilled purpose, health and simcha. And may we see the hostages come home soon and alive.
Shana tova u’metuka,
Evonne
P.S. If you haven’t yet, it’s not too late to do your own personal exploration of your gifts. The Heroine’s Journal: A Jewish Mystical Journey of Growing into Your Gifts is perfect for the aseret yamei teshuva (ten days of repentance), Sukkot, or frankly all year long.
P.S. Cyberspace being what it is, this email may have been flagged as spam in your inbox. I promise, it's really me, shocked that Rosh Hashanah is so close even though I’ve been talking about it for a month, like usual. (No bot would know that but you do, right?) If you want to see more messages from me, please let your email service know I'm real and writing to you from my author account, evonnewrites@gmail.com.
